While the Game Boy had some great-looking RPGs like Lufia: The Legend Returns, it’s amazing what Game Freak managed to do with such a limited console. In Pokemon Red and Blue, players will travel the world of Kanto.

One clear instance of this is the Psychic type: Psychic pokemon are basically invincible in this game, as their only weaknesses lacked any offensive power to counter their moves. As far as I can tell, this seems to be another version of the 'Red Version with Gold graphics and color', which also previous has been hacked to work with Pokemon Blue (on 3ds iso site), and several such threads existed before, but I couldn't find them all I also previously tried porting them over, as decrypting and swapping roms on VC files. Being the first game in the series, it’s clear that some elements of the combat had yet to be refined.
